Kirk Shelmerdine is starting his 30th-year anniversary in NASCAR with a bang.  After qualifying in the eve of the race, Kirk impressed viewers by finishing the Daytona 500 in 20th place.  The Nascar veteran who became famous as Dale Earnhardt Sr.'s Crew Chief, is now proving that his talents spread far beyond the pit wall.  The understataed NASCAR Veteran susprised everyone, including himself with his performance in Daytona.  He is now looking forward to his next venture, which will take him to California - The Auto Club 500.
