Kirk Shelmerdine took the track today with the #27 for the first test-run of the year.  Though Preseason Thunder stats are not a good indication of how fast a car will race during the season, it is a great way for drivers to find out what they need to focus on for the Daytona 500.  Here is Kirk's best time recorded on January 16th:
